The Denver 2008 Host Committee is looking for volunteer housing. While many of the volunteers for the 2008 Democratic National Convention will be from Colorado, some of those volunteers will come from outlying areas around the state. Also recruitment is going on in surrounding states. Most hotel rooms locally will be used to house state delegations, press, and others associated with the convention. We require a 30-day minimum and rates will start at $100 per day.
I will be renting my 1 bedroom condo during the month of August if there is interest.
I’ll have a couple of beds available — dormitory style, foldouts, etc. in the living room/den.
No charge, of course. Meals included. (Although they might be asked to help freeze beans, peas etc. from the garden. August is a busy time at my house.) I might also be able to provide limited transportation. Location is pretty far southwest but near a lot of public transportation.
